Jarom joins the OSR team as a former professional athlete with a passion for therapeutic movement, mobility and exercise. During his professional career in Mixed Martial Arts, he was able to obtain first-hand experience of the critical role these important principles play in competition as well as everyday function.
Jarom studied exercise science with an emphasis in kinesiology at Utah Valley University, earning his Bachelors Degree before entering graduate school to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to college, Jarom moved to Brazil for 2 years and is able to speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. While in PT school he completed a clinical rotation in the Nairobi Hospital in Kenya, Africa.
He has experienced a wide variety of clinical settings throughout his education and career, but really found his niche in clinical leadership and treating medically complex patients. Jarom takes a personal interest in his patients’ goals and treats his patients like family.
Jarom has a wife of 12 years and 3 energetic children, 2 of which are twins. When Jarom is not spending time at the clinic or with his family, you can find him competing in Jiu Jitsu tournaments, coaching MMA, adventure racing, skydiving or anything physically active that will provide a challenge.
