Alyssa Cuesta
(PTA)
Alyssa, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant with a passion for hands-on patient care and a strong commitment to improving the well-being of others. After graduating from Gateway Community College, she transitioned into physical therapy from her previous role in phlebotomy, where she developed a foundation in medical practice and patient care.
Alyssa is committed to advancing her knowledge in treating athletes. She has studied the clinical management of athletes, emphasizing biomechanics and proper techniques of fundamental movements, such as squats, deadlifts, overhead presses, pull-ups, and Olympic lifts. This ongoing education helps her stay current with best practices, ensuring that patients receive the most effective care to meet their specific goals. Looking ahead, Alyssa plans to become a certified Rock Steady Boxing coach, driven by her passion for working with patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. She enjoys incorporating boxing into her sessions to provide dynamic and unique treatment options.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family and dog, JayJay. She loves exploring new culinary experiences and staying active through weight training, hiking, and boxing. Alyssa actively trains in both lifting and boxing to deliver the best coaching and treatment to her patients. She is dedicated to an active and balanced lifestyle, ensuring that her personal experiences continue to inform and enhance her professional approach.
