(PTA)
Edgar Gaytan developed a passion for physical therapy through a combination of personal experiences, academic pursuits, and a genuine desire to positively impact others’ lives. In an effort to grow in this field, he earned his physical therapy assistant degree at Carrington College’s Mesa Campus.
Growing up with a fascination for the human body’s resilience, Edgar’s interest in physical therapy was fueled by his own journey through injury, creating a desire to assist others on their path to recovery. His strongest motivation to advance in his field came from a genuine desire to positively impact patients’ lives. He aspires to deepen his knowledge in sports rehabilitation and neurology, reflecting his commitment to continued learning and enhancing his skills in patient care.
Originally born in Phoenix, Edgar spent his early years in Guanajuato, Mexico, before returning to the USA during high school. Outside of work, Edgar enjoys staying active through exercise, spending time with his family, exploring new culinary experiences, and showcasing his passion for salsa dancing. Whenever possible, he enjoys traveling to Mexico and exploring the region and the culture. As the middle child and only boy in his family, Edgar values the connections he shares with his loved ones.
