She earned her undergraduate degree at Sacramento State and completed her graduate studies at Texas Women’s University, with research through Rice University. Certified in I-ASTM and Dry Needling, Rita has continued her education in various areas, focusing recently on manual therapies while expanding her knowledge in exercise progression through a core symposium.
Originally from Northern California, Rita’s career journey has taken her across the country, from the South to Texas, and eventually to Jacksonville, FL, where she began her professional career. In 2000, she moved to Arizona with her husband after his US Navy career.
Rita enjoys running, working out with friends, and spending time with her family, including her two high schoolers, Luke and Amanda, who play volleyball. She is an avid fan of sports, especially the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tom Brady (yes, even after retirement!). Outside of work, Rita loves playing word games, watching reality TV, and is a dedicated volunteer at an animal rescue. She’s excited to be a part of the OSR team!
