What to Expect as a Patient at OSR

It is important to us that you know the basics of “What To Expect” as you begin your physical therapy treatment with us here at OSR. First, learn about who we are, our clinic environment, and how we approach our physical therapy treatments. See what to expect at your first appointment, and how you can prepare. What does OSR stand for?

Our physical therapists specialize in outpatient physical therapy, primarily for Orthopedic and Sports and Rehabilitation concerns, hence the foundation of our name, “OSR”. The truth of it is that our physical therapists successfully treat a wide range of pain concerns, not all of which are related to sports or to surgery. Our doctors evaluate and treat pain related to movement, no matter the cause or the area of the body. Because of this, many patients come to see us directly, often prior to seeing a primary care or orthopedic physician.

Refer a Friend

Is it possible for OSR Physical Therapy in Anthem, Phoenix, Glendale, Sun City, Scottsdale, Gilbert & Peoria, AZ to assist someone you know? It can be hard to convince a friend to seek physical therapy, especially if they are resistant. A good first step is to have an honest and open conversation with them about how physical therapy helped you and why you think they may benefit from physical therapy as well. Explain that physical therapy is a safe, non-invasive way to help treat pain, improve movement, and increase strength and flexibility. Let them know that you will be there to help them through their journey and you can celebrate all the things you can do again together!

If you know someone who could benefit from our services, please send them our way!

FAQs

Can I be there during my child’s speech therapy session at OSR Physical Therapy?

Certainly!

We want you to be present at their session! Our therapists at OSR Physical Therapy recognize the importance of parents and the importance of their support for optimal results.

Attending sessions also allows you to observe some of the techniques, exercises, and activities we use to help your child so that, if necessary, you can use them to continue to improve at home.

Do you offer treatment for my condition at your clinic?

Physical therapists are trained to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. Most physical therapy clinics specialize in one or two areas of physical therapy.

You can trust that our skilled therapists will assess and treat your condition. Pediatric physical therapists, for example, frequently work solely with children. In contrast, orthopedic outpatient physical therapists will work with patients of all ages and conditions.

If we believe that another therapist or healthcare provider would be a better fit for you, we will make recommendations for people we know and trust.

Our physical therapists have years of university-level training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (the study of joint movement), neurology, and a variety of other medical sciences. All of our physical therapists are state-licensed and have completed accredited physical therapy programs.

You can be confident that you are in capable hands!

How can I determine if my insurance covers in-home physical therapy?
